About Our Company
Our company began as a partnership between three Certified Real Estate Appraisers. We collectively have nearly fifty years of appraisal experience, with each bringing unique areas of expertise and an ample variety of experiences to the organization. Like many in the profession we were facing the challenges of the industry changes and the effect on our individual appraisal businesses as well as the appraisal profession as a whole. Together we determined that the inevitable changes meant we must choose to act in a positive direction that will make a difference. As a consequence, Certified Appraisal Source was born. Certified Appraisal Source is dedicated to serving appraisers, lenders, and consumers alike. We believe the intentions of the Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC) and current FHA rules were meant to protect the consumer. We advocate consumer protection, however, the industry changes left many loan officers and appraisers with limited means to conduct and maintain their businesses. Our company presents a viable option for loan officers and appraisers while at the same time does not deny these appraisers compensation for the proficiency they have built through years of experience. At the same time, it provides the lender with what they want, competent appraisers in their local areas.
